How to stream on Soraivy: planning, running and growing your live streams
21 September 2026 · Soraivy Team
People who chat with you live tend to come back, week after week. Few formats build that kind of loyalty. If you want the technical setup, read our OBS step-by-step guide. This post is about everything around it: what to plan, how to run the stream, and what to do after.
Before the stream: plan a little
- Pick one clear idea. “Playing ranked until I hit Gold” is better than “just chilling”.
- Choose a time that suits your viewers, and try to keep it the same each week.
- Tell people in advance. Post the time on your channel and your other socials.
- Test your sound. Viewers forgive a blurry picture, but not bad audio.
Set up your live session
Open Go Live from the account menu. Give the stream a title and choose the latency. Low (about 3 to 5 seconds) is best for chatting. Standard and Stable add more delay but are smoother on weak internet. Soraivy gives you a server URL and a stream key. Paste them into OBS or any app that supports a custom RTMPS server. Keep your key private.
Add overlays to look professional
In Studio → Tools → OBS overlays you can copy links for live chat, admirer goals, alerts and viewer count. Add them in OBS as Browser sources. They stay the same every stream, so you only set them up once. Alerts and Super-Flex goals unlock after your channel is monetized.
During the stream: talk to people
The biggest difference between a good stream and a quiet one is talking. Greet people by name when they join. Read chat out loud. Ask questions. Even when nobody is chatting, keep talking about what you are doing. Someone might be watching quietly, and your voice is what makes them stay.
How long should a stream be?
For beginners, one to two hours is a good length. It gives people time to find you, without wearing you out. It’s better to stream for one strong hour than four tired ones.
Earning while you stream
Once your channel is monetized, viewers can support you during streams with features like Super-Flex. Thank every supporter by name. People love being noticed, and it encourages others too.
After the stream: use the replay
When recording is on, your stream is saved. After processing, the replay shows up in Studio and on your channel’s Live tab. People who missed it can still watch. You can also cut the best moments into Shorts. One funny or impressive clip can bring new viewers to your next stream.
Staying safe
Never show your stream key on screen. Be careful not to show personal details like your address. If someone in chat breaks the rules, you can block them and report them. Our Community Guidelines apply to live streams just like videos.
Keep going
Your first few streams might have only a handful of viewers. That’s how almost every streamer starts. Keep a steady schedule, keep talking, and keep clipping your best moments.
