How to upload a video on Soraivy (step by step)

24 September 2026 · Soraivy Team

Uploading a video on Soraivy takes a few minutes. This guide walks through each step, and shares a few small tips that help new videos get found.

Step 1: get your file ready

Soraivy accepts common video formats like MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and AVI. MP4 is the safest choice. For long videos, use a steady internet connection. Wi-Fi is better than mobile data for big files.

Step 2: start the upload

  • Sign in to your Soraivy account.
  • Tap or click Create, then choose Upload a video or Upload a short.
  • Pick your file. The upload starts right away, so you can fill in the details while it runs.

Step 3: write a good title

Your title tells people what the video is. Keep it clear and honest. “How I made mango ice cream at home” works better than “You won’t believe this!!!”. Clickbait may get a click, but people leave fast when the video doesn’t match. That hurts how the video is shown to others.

Step 4: add a description and tags

Many people skip this. Please don’t. Write two or three sentences about what is in the video. Add a few tags that describe it. This helps viewers decide to watch, and it helps search engines understand your video. If your video has parts, you can add chapters as timestamps, like 0:00 Intro, 1:20 Setup.

Step 5: pick a category and language

Choose the category that fits best, like Gaming, Music or Education. Set the language you speak in the video. Both help the right viewers find you.

Step 6: choose a thumbnail

You can use an automatic thumbnail or upload your own image as JPG, PNG or WebP. A custom thumbnail usually does better. Use a clear 16:9 image, big readable text if any, and a face or object people can see at a glance.

Step 7: choose who can see it

  • Public: anyone can find and watch it. It can appear in feeds and search.
  • Unlisted: only people with the link can watch it.
  • Private: only you can see it.

Step 8: publish and wait for processing

After you publish, your video goes through processing and safety checks. Big files take longer. You can see the status in Studio under Content. If something is blocked, you can edit the details or upload again.

After your video is live

Share the link with friends and on your other socials. Reply to the first comments. Then check Studio → Analytics after a few days to see where people stopped watching. That drop-off point usually tells you more than your view count.

Common upload problems

Upload stuck? Check your connection and try again on Wi-Fi. Still processing after a long time? Large files can take a while; check back later. Video removed? Make sure you own the rights to everything in it, including music. Our Copyright Policy explains the rules.

Your first upload is the slowest. By the third one you won’t need this guide.
