Why we built Soraivy

“Creator-first” is one of those phrases every platform uses. It’s on landing pages everywhere, and it has almost stopped meaning anything. So instead of repeating it, we want to explain what pushed us to build Soraivy, and what that phrase actually changes in how the product works.

It started with a simple frustration

We kept seeing the same story. Someone makes something really good (a funny sketch, a clear tutorial, a heartfelt vlog) and it gets a few dozen views. Meanwhile, a channel that’s already enormous posts something forgettable and it’s everywhere within the hour. The quality of the video mattered less than the size of the channel it came from. That felt backwards.

What we decided to do differently

The biggest decision was also the simplest: our recommendation engine, SoraPulse, doesn’t use channel size to rank videos. Not admirer count, not badges, not lifetime views. A video is judged by how the people who watch it actually respond. We also set aside room in every feed for creators who haven’t had much exposure yet, so new voices get a real shot.

Everything else followed from that. If we want small creators to succeed, they need to be able to earn, so monetization is transparent and checked right in Studio. They need tools, so we put editing, live streaming, overlays and analytics in one place. And they need to be protected, so moderation is done by people, with clear rules and a way to appeal.

Why it matters for viewers too

A feed built only on popularity gets repetitive. You see the same faces and the same formats over and over. When smaller creators get a fair chance, the feed gets more varied: more languages, more niches, more people you’d never have found otherwise. We think that’s simply a better place to watch videos.

We’re not done

Soraivy is young. There are features we haven’t built yet and things we’ll get wrong along the way. But the core idea isn’t going to change: good work should be seen, no matter who made it. If that sounds right to you, whether you create, watch or build a brand, we’d love for you to be part of it.

Who Soraivy is for

  • The student filming tutorials after class.
  • The gamer streaming to ten loyal friends.
  • The small business showing how its products are made.
  • The viewer who is tired of seeing the same five videos everywhere.

If any of those sounds like you, Soraivy was built with you in mind.
